Brian Stann out of the UFC on Fox 4, Shogun Vs Vera in, as the new main event.

A shoulder injury has sidelined Brian Stann ahead of the UFC on Fox 4.
Stann was scheduled to take on Hector Lomabrd, in the Bellator middleweight Champs octagon debut.

It now looks as though Tim Boetsch will be welcoming Lombard to the UFC at 149 in Calgary. As the Barbarian was left with no opponent following an injury to top middle weight contender Michael "the Count" Bisping, ahead of their fight at UFC 149. As for the UFC on Fox 4, it looks as though Shogun Rua will now be facing Brandon Vera on the August 4th card.
Brandon Vera! The dude who's 3-3 in his last 6, the same guy who got his arm broken before receiving a gift decision over Eliot Marshall at UFC 137. That same Brandon Vera will now be taking on Shogun Rua the former light heavyweight champion, and top 5 light heavyweight in the main event of the fourth edition of the UFC on Fox.

Here are five better main events for the UFC on Fox 4 card:

Rashad Evans Vs. Shogun Rua
They're both former light heavyweight champions, still in the top 5 and have never fought.  Need I say more?

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs. Shogun Rua II

Little Nog is still in the top ten in the world, and is coming off a win over Tito Ortiz plus the original Shogun Vs. Noguiera fight, was one of the best Mixed Martial Arts fights of all time. So why not treat Fox viewers to round 2?

Nate Diaz Vs. Showtime Pettis
This is a guaranteed ACTION fight with title implications, as both guys are within a win of a title shot. Couple that with the fact that Nate Diaz put on an ass whooping clinic last time he was on Fox, and it makes this probably the best option.

Jonny Hendricks Vs Martin Kampmann
With the welter division backed up by GSP's knee injury, and the interim champion Carlos Condit's willingness to wait for him to return. Why not showcase two top ten guys who are always in action fights while we wait?

Stefan Bonnar Vs. Shogun Rua
Stefan Bonnar can sell a fight, has won three in a row and is the definition of an action fighter. Oh and did I mention he's ranked higher then Vera too.
