3 X Title challenger Kenny Florian calls it a career and retires from MMA.

Kenny Florian will probably always be remembered for being the bridesmaid and never the bride, having challenged for the lightweight and featherweight titles with out winning either. But what he really should be remembered for is the analytical and scientific approach to fighting that he helped pioneer. Through out Florian's 20 fight career, a career that saw him face the likes of Diego Sanchez, Gray Maynard, Jose Aldo, BJ Penn, Takanori Gomi, Clay Guida, Florian approached each fight with a meticulously researched and carefully constructed game plan tailored specifically to each opponent. The result was a record of 14-6 with 12 stoppages and the second most submission victories in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Florian will remain with the UFC as a commentator and brand ambassador.
