Vitor is 100% Healthy.
According to Dana White and Shawn Tompkins Vitor is 100% healthy despite pulling out of his fight with Yushin Okami @ UFC 122. Leading me to believe that the Marquardt, Belfort switcheroo has way more to do with Sonnen's pending suspension and appeal, then it does with Belfort's health. To bad too, as it would have been nice to see Vitor win one at 185lbs in the UFC, before getting his title shot.

Efrain "Hecho en Mexico" Escudero has been cut by the UFC!
TUF 8 winner Efrain "Hecho en Mexico" Escudero has been cut by the UFC following his loss to Charles "Da Bronx" Oliveira at UFN 22 in Austin, Tx. Escudero confirmed the news to MMAWeekly.com Monday. Escudero was 2-2 in the UFC with wins over Cole Miller and Dan Lauzon, and spirited losses to Evan Dunham and Da Bronx. Two killers who could hand a loss to any one in the division. I don't like the move. Seems like a stupid idea for a company making a push into Latin America to release a Mexican fighter of his caliber with only 2 losses on his docket and that much television exposure behind him. Here's hoping Strikeforce picks him up.

The BEST Fight Of The Week.
"Hecho en Mexico" vs "Da Bronx"
It’s Fighting Stupid - Weekly Stupidity 20/09/10
Welcome to It’s Fighting Stupid's Weekly Stupidity where your boy EL DANDY, gets you caught up on the latest news and notes from the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Here we go....
- The week started out hot, with the announcement of the Showdown in Motown Matt Hughes vs BJ Penn III @ UFC 123.
- Wednesday was awesome. with UFN 22 coming at us from Austin TX. Bringing us big time performances from Charles "Da Bronx" Oliveira , Jimmothy Miller, Yves Edwards and Cole Miller. As well as another epic Q n A with Chael Sonnen.
- Roster activity, the UFC picked up Antonio Mckee, and Strikeforce signed Paul "Semtex" Daley.
- Gerald Harris lowered the Boom!
- We talked Strikeforce's Heavyweight division and how we'd book it.
- Sean Sherk talked about how his resumes better then 95% of the lightweights out there. We talked about how it's about to get worse.
- Jason Parillo rolled with Kelly Slater and The worlds strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski rolled over Butterbean.
- The New York Bad Ass called out Ninja Rua and gave us a couple re-tweets out of it.
- And the biggest news of the week, Chael Sonnen tested positive for PED's. But.....it might be cold/flu meds. Does it matter?
- Mosley's fight sucked but the undercard was deadly.
- Plus UFC 119 is this saturday, But is the main event in trouble? Is Cro Cop's eye injured? We'll find out.
So until next time protect your neck!

Mosley v Mora may have stunk up the joint, but Ortiz and Alvarez showed us what it's all about.
Victor Ortiz is working hard to re establish himself at 140lbs and though he's beating guys he should beat it's the way he's doing it that makes it fun to watch. Here he is last night blasting Vivian Harris, scoring knock downs at 4:28, 5:06, and 5:39 before finishing the job at 8:49. Here's hoping for a step up in competition and maybe the much talked about Maidana re-match.
But the bigger story and better prospect to emerge last night was Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. the 2o year old Alvarez became the first man to ever stop Carlos "TaTa" Bladomir in over 16 years. Despite promising to knock the freckles off the ginger, Baldomire had nothing for "Canelo". Who landed close to 80% of his power shots in the final round before dropping Baldomir like he'd been shot, face down out cold.

the "NewYork Bad Ass" Phil Baroni wants to fight Ninja Rua.
Baroni liked our tweet to D.W about the potential Ninja fight at UFC 124 .
Shogun wants his brother Ninja fighting in the UFC and the NYBA would like to welcome him.
Plus they've got history. Make it happen Mr.Silva.Chael Sonnen Tests Positive for PED's
From: sherdog.com
According to California State Athletic Commission Executive Officer George Dodd, Chael Sonnen has been notified that he failed post-fight drug screening following his loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 117, which was held Aug. 7 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. This is HUGE news!!! If Sonnen has indeed tested positive for performance enhancing drugs, it would throw ice water on the red hot rematch between himself and Anderson Silva. Sonnen had everyone talking, not only with his pre fight trash talk but with the 23 minutes of ass whoopin' he put on middle weight champ Andersn Silva. Now he'll have everyone talking again just for entirely different reasons.
“[Sonnen] received his notice yesterday,” Dodd told Sherdog.com shortly after the Shane Mosley-Sergio Mora boxing match ended Saturday night in Los Angeles.
